Fayetteville
Mr. Robert Franklin Moore, 74 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Melvin Family Cemetery (583 County Line Road, Roseboro), officiating will be Rev. Bruce Brown.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service; funeral procession will follow visitation to the cemetery.
He was born in Cumberland County to the late Wade Franklin Moore and Emma Gertrude Vann Moore.
His places of employment include: Coble Dairy, Fasco Industries, and NC Department of Corrections. He was also a member of The Salvation Army and The Peters Creek Hunting Club.
Robert loved his family deeply and was proud of each and everyone of them. His daughter, Teresa remembers him taking her everywhere when she was growing up and never leaving her behind. She remembers after supper was finished they would head out the door going to visit family and friends, or to local sporting events. If he wasn't watching he was playing sports. He enjoyed being on the bowling league and playing softball with his coworkers from Fasco Industries. He also enjoyed playing volleyball with his church, and playing tennis, where Teresa remembers running after the tennis balls that managed to get past him. When baseball season came around he tried to go to as many games around town that he could from Monday through Sunday.
He leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Teresa Moore; step-son, James Crook; grandchildren, Brad Moore (Hannah), James Crook, Jr., Cassandra Washington (Henry), Marshal Crook, Daniel Crook, and Johnathan Moore; 3 great grandchildren, Caleigh, Johnathon and Cora; 4 additional great grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia Brown (Bruce), Brenda Jones, Jerry Moore (Nena), Tommy Moore (Sherri), Judy Roman (Jim), Carolyn Hartsock (Richard), Kathy Faircloth and Marshal Faircloth; former wife, Agnes Burgett (former wife, but still remained friends); and an abundance of nephews and nieces.
Teresa knew that bringing her Daddy home was a big decision for her, and that it was going to be a lot to take on; but it was the best decision for him and his family. The families bonds were so tight, that even through the hardest times they would all put other things aside and fight the fight together.
Robert will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.
