Mr. Robert Earl Dowless,, 75 Sr.

FAYETTEVILLE Mr. Robert Earl Dowless, Sr., 75 of 9270 Turnbull Road, died on Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home. The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Wingo and Chaplain Tim Gore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Dowless was born on April 6, 1936 in Bladen County to the late Elmer and Ila Dowless. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Horace Dowless and Ray Dowless. He worked as a Welder with Fluor Daniel Construction Company in Greenville, SC. He is survived by: his wife, Anita Maxwell Dowless of the home; five children, Erin Dowless of Fayetteville, Robert Earl Dowless, Jr. of Pennsylvania, James Dowless of Indiana, Lisa Dowless of Greensboro and Daniel Griffin of St. Pauls; three sisters, Grace Player of Holden Beach, Estelle Dowless and Connie Dowless both of Dublin; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and other times at the home.
