Rev. Robert Milton Compton

Roseboro Rev. Robert M. Compton of 4706 Beaver Dam Church Road, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 in Duke University Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Randy White and the Deacons of the church at 3:00 p. m., Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008. Rev. Compton was a loving husband, father, grandfather and pastor with a passion for Christ and a spirit of compassion and service; a beacon to all he knew. Rev. Compton was the son of the late Robert L. Compton and Noree Compton. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Compton of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Pam Compton, of Anchorage, Alaska, Paula Compton, of Greensboro and Gwen and Wade Staunton, of Oak Riadge; four grandchildren, Hampton, Erin, Gracen and Peyton. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 from 6-8 p. m. at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
