Robert (Bobby) Brewer Knowles

Mr. Robert (Bobby) Brewer Knowles, 84, of Beaver Dam Township in Cumberland County passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, January 19, 2022 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Autryville, NC, with Reverend Charles Davis officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Evergreen Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Knowles was the son of John Ed Knowles and Annie Lee Draughon Knowles. He was a native of Sampson County but lived most of his life in Beaver Dam Township. He was a mechanic by trade. In his younger years he loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and drive fast. In his later years he was known to tinker with old tractors.

Mr. Knowles was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Weaver Knowles and Mack Lindon Knowles; his sisters, Clattie Elma Remaley, Doris Elizabeth Davis and Shirley Ann Ezzell; his granddaughter, Allie May Knowles; and two nephews and five nieces.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Hall Knowles; his three children, Catherine Knowles Leach (Bill) of Virginia; Mary Kim Esswein (Chuck) and James Robert Knowles (Julie) both of Beaver Dam Township; Seven grandchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Matthew, Bobby, Charles, Paul and Shane; seven great-grandchildren, Josephine, Laney, Emmalyn, Jake, Willow, Allison and Rhett; and twelve nephews and ten nieces.
