Mr. Robert E. "Bob" Barefoot, Sr.

Clinton Mr. Robert E. "Bob" Barefoot, Sr., 70, of 510 Blaney Street, Clinton, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 4:30 pm at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Roseboro with the Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mr. Barefoot was the son of the late Hardee and Pearl Godwin Barefoot. He was a produce manager with Piggly Wiggly Stores before retiring. Mr. Barefoot is survived by: Wife, Joan G. Barefoot, of the home; two sons, Bobby and Karen Barefoot, of Monroe and Gerald Blake Barefoot and fiancée Doris Ross, of Fayetteville; two brothers, M.B. Barefoot, of Roseboro and Carl Barefoot, of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Eric and Beth. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 pm till 4:00 pm prior to the service and at other times at the home in Clinton. A public viewing will be held on Sunday from 1-5 pm.
