Mr. Robert Lurell Blake, 73 of Roseboro passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Brian Center in Clayton.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 7 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 1:50 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Blake was a native of Sampson County, the son of Reginald Lurell Blake and Mary Gladys Matthews Blake.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Carolyn Blake Blauser.  He was retired as assistant manager at the Piggly Wiggly in Roseboro after 30 years of service.  He was an U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Nicks and husband, Robert, Jr. of Clemmons and Jackie Bass and husband, Chris of Salemburg; son, Bobby Blake and fiance, Leigh Patterson of Salemburg; eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
