Mr. Robert Allen Best, 61 of Clinton went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Stan Carter officiating. The burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Best was a native of Wayne County, the son of Robert Roscoe and Cecille Kornegay Best. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Cathy Best. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy and he was Meat Market Assistant Manager with Carlie C’s.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sylvia Best; two sons, Dennis Nelms and Michael Nelms; his parents, Bobby and Cecille Best; his mother-in-law, Minnie Arnette; two brothers, Doug Best; and Michael Best and wife, Amy; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
