Mr. Ricky Walton Sessoms, 63, of Roseboro, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2026 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseboro, officiating will be Rev. Andy Wood.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.

He was born in Sampson County to the late Walton Sessoms and Ann Draughon Sessoms. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Godbold and Barbara Williams, and Betty Autry; and Barbara’s husband, his brother-in-law, Larry Williams.

Ricky was a mechanic for Smith International for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Dalton Sessoms of Roseboro; sisters, Fran Matthis & husband, Ashley of Clinton, and Vicky Hamm & husband, Ronnie of Autryville; 1 niece; 7 nephews; numerous great nieces and great nephews; brother-in-law, Terry Autry; and his beloved dogs.
