Mr. Richard Dale Stewart, 56

AUTRYVILLE

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Dale Stewart, 56, of Autryville, entered into heaven the morning of January 4, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was born March 22, 1959 in Reidsville, NC. Ricky was a member of Autryville Baptist Church. He loved Carolina basketball, fishing and his beloved pet, Lulu.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 24 years, Gail, of the home; two daughters, Heather Anderson and her husband, Alex, of Clinton and Katie Stewart of Autryville; a son, Kenly Stewart of Autryville; six brothers, Phillip Stewart of Benson, Joe Stewart of Willow Springs, Charles Stewart of Ruffin, Terry Stewart of Middlesex, David Stewart and Doug Stewart both of Clinton; one sister, Sarah Pettigrew of Haw River; one step-brother, Bud Thornton of Pikesville; one step-sister, Bonnie Perry of Hampstead; two granddaughters, Anna Kate Anderson and Jamie Claire Anderson of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his son, Jamie Stewart, who preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 6 at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, January 7 at Autryville Baptist Church, 425 Williams Street, Autryville. Burial will follow at the Butler Cemetery.
