Mr. Richard Carl "Ricky" Peterson, 60

ROSEBORO

Mr. Richard Carl "Ricky" Peterson, 60 of 88 Buck Lane, Roseboro, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his home.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, December 19, at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 701 Mill Creek Church Road, Roseboro, with Reverend Ed Rogers and Mr. Jeffery Sessoms officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterson Cemetery.

He was born September 21, 1957 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by his father, Ivey Hoover Peterson; and brother, Jimmie Peterson. He previously worked with Dixie Telephone Company.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Peterson of the home; two aunts, Sarah Lou Johnson of Spring Hope, Valerie Marshall of Spring Hope; two uncles, Scott Johnson of Dunn, Cook Johnson of Sanford.

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 2:45pm prior to the service, and other times at the home.

A special thank you to Joyce Williams and husband Donald, Mill Creek Baptist Church family, and many others, for the special care shown to Ricky during his sickness.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
