Mr. Richard Dwight Naylor, 82 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Village Green Nursing Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, August 7, 2026 at Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating will be Rev. Michael Bartlett.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 3:50 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.

Richard worked in the grocery business for many years, and along with his late wife, Betty and his brother Joseph they owned Naylor’s Grocery in Stedman for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earphy and Jinnetta Naylor; wife, Betty Mae (Horne) Naylor; and his brothers, Ervin and Henry Naylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Cindy Naylor Culbreth & husband, Ken of Stedman and Dwayne Naylor & wife, Sonya of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Megan Barefoot & husband, Brooks of Newton Grove, James Culbreth & wife, Schaffer of Stedman, Cameron Naylor & fiancé`, Cari of Fayetteville; and Alyssa Naylor (Allen) of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Carlyn Mae Barefoot and Holton Brooks Barefoot; brother, Joseph Naylor; and sister-in-law, Catherine Naylor.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
