Richard Dixon Faircloth, Sr., 69 passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, November 26, 2021 at Concord Baptist Church, officiating will be Pastor Walter Ree Hayes.  Burial with military honors will follow at the Faircloth Family Cemetery (12831 NC Hwy 53 W., White Oak).

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.

He was born in Cumberland County to the late Andrew Festus Faircloth and Retta Jean (Howell) Faircloth.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, A.F., and Doug Faircloth; and his sister, Tammy Faircloth.

Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He also worked for over 22 years with The Le Meyers Company, as a Special Line Equipment Operator.  He also was a farmer and enjoyed gardening and landscaping.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Richard Dixon Faircloth, Jr. & wife, Tammy of White Oak, Thomas Michael Faircloth & wife, Jennifer of Elizabethtown, and David James Faircloth & wife, Suzanne of Elizabethtown; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Emma Lou Freeland of Pensacola, FL, Carolyn Sue Brown of Fayetteville, Diane Johnson & husband, Bobby of Stedman, and Donna Byrd of Fayetteville.
