Mr. Richard David Crumpler, 62

Mr. Richard David Crumpler, 62, of 6245 Glory Drive, Stedman, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11 AM at Magnolia Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Davis and Dr. Phil Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Crumpler was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Muncy Blackman and Pearl Hudson Crumpler. He was the owner and operator of Crumpler's Towing Company of Stedman, a lifelong member of Bethany Fire Department and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. Mr. Crumpler is survived by: daughter, Wendy Weeks; son, Richie Crumpler; step-daughter, Audra Barnett; two sisters, Hazel McMillan and Joyce Crump; brother, Earl Crumpler; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Karen Harrell. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to the Bethany Fire Department, 2140 Wade-Stedman Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
