Mrs. Retta J. Faircloth, 84

STEDMAN Mrs. Retta Jean Faircloth, 84 of 7450 Beaver Dam Road, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Marshal Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Faircloth was born on April 8, 1925 in Sampson County to the late Amos and Mamie Faircloth Howell. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Andrew Festus Faircloth; and two sons, A.F. Faircloth and Leo Faircloth. She was a Seamstress. Mrs. Faircloth is survived by: five daughters, Sue Brown of Fayetteville, Diane Johnson of Stedman, Donna Vinson of Fayetteville, Tammy Bolton of Stedman and Emma Lou Freeland of Virginia; two sons, Douglas Faircloth of Fayetteville and Richard Faircloth of Stedman; one brother, Ernest Howell of Autryville; 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, N.C.
