AUTRYVILLE Mr. Reginald Jeffery "R J" Stewart, 78 of 3506 Maxwell Road, Autryville, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 20 at Clement Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Anthony Stewart and Rev. Jeff Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was a native of Harnett County, the son of the late Reginald Jeffery Stewart, Sr. and Calypso Hobbs Stewart. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Hairr Stewart and two brothers, James Stewart and Howard "Tint" Stewart. He was a retired employee of the Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna Mitchell Stewart of the home; a son, Gary Stewart (Linda) of Dunn; two daughters, Karen Carter (Mike) of Autryville and Gwen Davidson (Steven) of Hope Mills; two step-sons, Gregory Jackson (Darlene) and Jeffrey Jackson (Tammy), both of Godwin; five brothers, Frankie Stewart (Brenda) of Falcon, Jeff Stewart (Margaret), Tommy Stewart (Jan) and Charlie Stewart (Penny) all of Godwin and Anthony Stewart (Kim) of Erwin; six grandchildren, Jeannie Goodman (Scott), Alan Stewart (Megan), Sarah Stewart, Brandy Davis (Todd), Carrie Hogan (Chris) and Joshua Hall (Michelle); a step-granddaughter, Nina Jackson; eight great-grandchildren, Aiden Goodman, Collin Goodman, Mary Adaline Stewart, Mackenzie Lacey, Tyler Davis, Aubrey Hall, Jaxton Hall and Braxton Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening at Clement Church of God of Prophecy and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clement Church of God of Prophecy, 3990 Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC 28318. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro.
