Mrs. Rebecca Jones Mcleod, 65

WHITE OAK Mrs. Rebecca Jones McLeod, 65, of 7403 Burney Road, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Beth Car Presbyterian Church in Tar Heel with Pastor May Craven officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery in White Oak. Mrs. McLeod was born on July 12, 1943 to the late William C. and Lydia Ray Jones in White Oak. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Edward W. McLeod, III. and a brother William C. Jones, Jr. Mrs. McLeod is survived by: brother, John B. Jones and wife Herta of Hampton, Virginia; two step-daughters, Mary "Missy" McLeod Brown and husband Thomas, of Decatur, Alabama and Ann McLeod Daughtridge and husband Lige, of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Judy Johnson and husband John, of Fayetteville; two nephews, John B. Jones, Jr. and wife Melissa and children Ryan and Sarah, of Hampton, VA and Michael A. Jones and wife Jollene and children Michael and Grace, of Linder Hurst, IL; niece, Nancy Denney and husband Colin and children Addison, Brandon and Chandler, of Orange Park, FL. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
