Mrs. Reba Holland Royal, 89

ROSEBORO Mrs. Reba Holland Royal, 89 of 610 McLamb Street, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center in Clinton. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Roseboro United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Herring, Rev. Andy Wood and Rev. Roger White officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery. Mrs. Royal was a native of Sampson County and the daughter of the late Lewis Benson and Carlessie Fann Holland. She is preceded in death by her husband, A. Harrison Royal and her grandson, Nelson Parker. She worked with the Sampson County School System for 38 years as a Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of the Roseboro United Methodist Church for 55 years, a member of the Roseboro Woman's Club, the Roseboro United Methodist Church Senior Citizens and United Methodist Women. She also worked with the Boy Scouts Troop #38 in Roseboro. She is survived by: her daughter, Gail Parker and husband Joe Frank of Roseboro; one grandson, Joey Parker and wife Edie of China Grove; one granddaughter, Rhonda Lambert Torchio and husband Phil of Raleigh; two great grandchildren, Ashley Parker and Ryan Jacobs; a godson, Dan Caison, III and wife Robin of Belmont; and many caring nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roseboro United Methodist Church, Choir Robe Fund, PO Box 8, Roseboro, NC 28382; or to the Roseboro Rescue Squad, PO Box 891, Roseboro, NC 28382.
