Mr. Raymond Dexter Pleasants

STEDMAN Mr. Raymond Dexter Pleasants, 57, of 1449 John Nunnery Rd. passed away at his home Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was a retired Chemical Technician for Monsanto Corp. He was born in Sampson County and was the son of the late Jeff Dexter Pleasants and Lucy Belle Ezzell. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 30 at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy with Revs. Jeff Burkhardt and Randal Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Lee Pleasants of the home; two sons, Tim Pleasants and Dewayne Pleasants, both of Stedman; two daughters, Darlene Locklear and Melissa Culbreth, both of Stedman; his mother, Lucy Belle Pleasants of Stedman; two brothers, Larry Pleasants of Fayetteville and Joe Pleasants of Charleston, SC; two sisters, Lisa Hall of Roseboro and Kathy Hancock of Wahee, NB; seven grandchildren The family will receive friends Thursday, May 29 from 7-9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
