Mr. Rayford Duncan Hardison, 80

Mr. Rayford Duncan Hardison, 80 of 1474 Leroy Autry Road, Autryville, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh.

He was born March 8, 1936 in Johnston County and is preceded in death by his parents, Jermon “J.B.” and Sarah Lee Hardison; his wife of 62 years, Mary Horne Hardison; daughter, Susan Hardison Autry; sister, Peggy Faircloth Bautista; brothers, Bruce, Clifton, Jackie and Paul Hardison.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Hardison of Autryville; sons, Rex Hardison and wife Sue of Salemburg, Glenn Hardison and wife Wanda of Salemburg; sisters, Patsy Carter and husband Cleve of Roseboro, Nancy Upchurch of Roseboro, Barbara Daniel and husband Floyd of LaGrange, Carolyn Hardison of Autryville, Sue Jackson and husband Dwight of Roseboro; grandchildren, Christopher Hardison and wife Jennifer, Rick Keene, Mitchell Autry, Tracy Keene, Marshall Hardison, Dustin Hardison, Joshua Hardison, Corey Hardison, Amy Edwards and husband Lyn; great grandchildren, Austin Hardison, Brittany Carlney, Kerstin Autry, Harley Hardison, Brody Keene, Kobe Chestnutt, David Bradshaw, Jr., Dylan Windham.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, and other times at the home.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Reverend Lutrell Spell and Bishop Warren H. Barfield, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Horne Cemetery, Autryville.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
