ROSEBORO.....Ray Carlton Gaddy, 77, formally of Clinton, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was a native of Ingold, the son of Hardy B. and Marion Howard Gaddy. He graduated from Taylor's Bridge-Ingold High School in 1949. He served in the US Navy from 1950-1954. Mr. Gaddy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in pharmacy, in 1960. Immediately following he joined his brother, Charles Gaddy, at Gaddy Pharmacy. Mr. Gaddy ended his career in pharmacy at Salemburg Pharmacy in April 2009.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy in Autryville. Services will be conducted by Bishop Warren Barfield.
Mr. Gaddy is survived by his wife, Faye Gaddy; son, Marty Gaddy and wife Phyllis of Georgia; daughter, Marcie Faircloth and husband Jack of Roseboro; grandchildren, Taylor and Matthew Faircloth of Roseboro.
Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
