Phyllis Ann Jackson

Phyllis Ann Jackson (née Dawsey), 68, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2025, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Born on April 7, 1957, in the same city she called home throughout her life, Phyllis was a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

A proud graduate of Douglas Byrd Senior High School, Phyllis remained rooted in her community into her early life. Her faith was a guiding light; she loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Northwood Temple Church. Her spiritual strength and unwavering belief were evident to all who knew her.

Phyllis had a creative spirit and found joy in crafting and wreath making.

She is remembered by her daughter Melissa Cull; son-in-law Marion Cull; brother Greg Dawsey; sister-in-law Nancy Dawsey; grandchildren Ayden and Hannah; niece and nephew Taylor and Austin; and cherished family friends and caregivers Doug and Donna Daniels. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Dawsey and Annie Ruth Hodges-Dawsey.

A private graveside memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

In honor of Phyllis’s memory, donations may be made to the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation or The American Heart Association.
