Mr. Phillip Jeffrey Taylor, 53 of 5297 Goldsboro Road, died on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Clement Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Jeff Stewart and Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born on August 18, 1957 in Harnett County to the late Charles Mack and Margaret Irene Phillips Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Mitchell Taylor, Gary Taylor, Sr., and Mark Anthony Taylor; one niece, Terri Taylor; and his grandparents, Leslie and Daisy Irene Phillips. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a salesman with Crick Industrial Sales.
He is survived by: his wife, Janet Nunnery Taylor of the home; two daughters, Jaclyn Stapleton and husband Darrell and Melissa Owens and husband Jimmie, all of Wade; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Stapleton, Leslie Stapleton, Bethany Untch and Anthony Mark Taylor-Owens; and his special nieces and nephews, Charlie Taylor, Clint Taylor, Gary Taylor, Jr. and Alison Taylor.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home.
