Phillip Simon Kleinert, 74 passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, February 27, 2023 at Cumberland Union Baptist Church.

Phillip was born in Goldsboro to the late, Carl Kleinert and Eutha Bailey Kleinert.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Kellie Kleinert; and sisters, Barbara Stallins and Estelle Kleinert.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carolyn Kleinert of the home; children, Carla Griffin of White Oak, Chritopher Kleinert & wife, Jolene of Stedman, and Susan Marie Orndorf of Ohio; sister, Christine Desmond & husband, Patrick of Saint Paul's; grandchildren, Joseph Griffin, Sarah Rizer, Eva Marie Kleinert, Alyssa Sweet, Nathan Sweet, and Brianna Jordan; and great grandchildren, Allison and Lily Rizer.
