Mrs. Pernell W. Grissom, 87

STEDMAN Mrs. Pernell Warren Grissom, 87 of 320 Euclid Street, died on Friday, September 11, 2009 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at LaFayette Memorial Park with Rev. C. Randal Strickland officiating. Mrs. Grissom was born on January 4, 1922 in Sampson County to the late Jesse Almo and Theoria Jones Warren. She is preceded in death by: her husband, E. L. Grissom, Sr.; one daughter, Ruth G. Jinnette; and six brothers, Milton Warren of Fuquay, Cecil Warren of Salemburg, Rupert Warren of Salemburg, Harold Warren of Tarboro, William Oscar "W.O." Warren of Salemburg and Colon Jones Warren of Spring Lake. She worked as a Seamstress with Stedman Garment Company. Mrs. Grissom is survived by: three daughters, Annette G. Edenfield of Rome, GA, LaNell Grissom of Stedman, and Barbara G. Frazier of Stedman; two sons, E.L. "Woodie" Grissom, Jr. of Hope Mills, and Joseph "Joe" A. Grissom, and wife Sharon of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends at the home at, 320 Euclid Street, Stedman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stedman Pentecostal Holiness Church Family Life Center, P.O. Box 396, Stedman, NC 28391.
