Mr. Paul Dixon Tew

Autryville Mr. Paul Dixon Tew, 81, of 3696 Howard Road, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Wake Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 4:00 p. m. at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Honeycutt and Rev. Allen West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Tew was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Rassie and Bertha Williams Tew. He was a Navy Veteran and worked with Merita Bread Company as a salesman before retiring. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Tyndall. Mr. Tew is survived by: wife, Reavis Tew, of the home; son, Hal Tew and wife Sondra, of Autryville; three grandchildren, Justin Tyndall and Faron and Darren Tew; son-in-law, Jeffrey Tyndall, of Autryville; two brothers, Earl Tew, of Salemburg and Max Tew, of Autryville; two sisters, Mabel Hall, of Salemburg and Clarice Higdon, of Greensboro, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
