Mr. Paul H. Melvin, 78

GARLAND Mr. Paul Henderson Melvin, 78 of 1775 Lamb Road, died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow at the Parkersburg Cemetery in Garland. Mr. Melvin was born on February 2, 1931 in Sampson County to the late Dewey S. and Espie Bedsole Melvin. He worked as a Truck Driver. Mr. Melvin is survived by: his wife, Betty Melvin of the home; three daughters, Paula Vela of White Lake, Carol Wiseman of Spruce Pine, and Joy Everette of Garland; five grandchildren, Toni Smith, Denise Everette, Larry Paul Everette, Danny Everette, and Stephanie Wiseman; and five great grandchildren, Bailey Everette, Koreigh Everette, Ayden Smith, Britany Wiseman, and Emma Wiseman. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 2 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home and other times at the home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
