Patrick Joseph Cook, 80 passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Isaac Cook and Blanche Elizabeth Steele Cook; and his siblings, Walter Oliver Cook, Rodney Elvie Cook, William “Mike” Cook, and Judith Priscella Bowers.

Patrick was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.  He also retired as Captain from the Fayetteville Police Department, and worked at Walmart Distribution Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Jeremi Cook (Katelynn) of Fayetteville; and his sister, Edith Combs of Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1990 Fordham Dr, Suite 100, Fayetteville, NC 28304, in honor of their service and sacrifice.
