Mrs. Patricia Carter Stanfield, 68

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Patricia Carter Stanfield, 68, of 4057 Sanderosa Road passed away Sunday, September 11 at her home. Patricia was born in Cumberland County on June 22, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Colon Alexander Carter and Ida Mae Melvin Carter. She was a retired nurse and was employed at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Fayetteville for thirty-five years. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 13 at the Carter Family Cemetery off Sanderosa Road with Rev. Evan Harrison officiating. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, September 18 at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church in Vander. Mrs. Stanfield is survived by four brothers, Clarence M. Carter (wife JoAnn), Stanley Carter and Carol G. Carter (wife Charlotte), all of Fayetteville and Earl A Carter of Florida; three sisters, Marie Humphries and Faye C.
