Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Ashworth Syfrett, 71

Cypress Creek Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Ashworth Syfrett, 71, of 8511 NC Highway 210 West, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at her home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 5:00 PM at Syfrett-Melvin Cemetery with the Rev. David Bays officiating. Mrs. Syfrett was born on October 7, 1939 in Cumberland County to the late Joe and Doris Morrison Ashworth. She was a graduate of Massey Hill High School, a beloved wife and mother of two. She was preceded in death by her sister, Inez Ashworth and her brothers, Joe T. Ashworth, James Ashworth and Donald Ashworth. She was a customer service representative with Carolina Telephone before retiring in 1989. Mrs. Syfrett is survived by: husband, Joe K. Syfrett, of the home; daughter, Robin Dickey and husband Troy, of Seguin, TX; son, Joe "Kelly" Syfrett, Jr. and wife JoAnn, of Spring Lake; sister, Barbara "Bobby" Ashworth, of Cypress Creek; sister-in-law, Elinor Syfrett Robeson, of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Russell Blackketter and Nichole Blackketter, of San Antonio, TX, Cheyenne Dickey, Shelby Dickey, Savannah Dickey and Sydney Dickey, all of Seguin, TX. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
