Mr. Oscar Wade Simmons, 71 of Roseboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 17, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Holland’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Pastor Daniel Lewis officiating. The burial will at Grandview Memorial Park, Clinton.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:50 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Simmons was a native of Sampson County, the son of Oscar Miles and Annie Reese Tyndall Simmons. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Teresa Brewington Simmons of the home; his daughter, Lisa Simmons Smith and husband, Jeff of Clinton; his son, Austin Wade Simmons of Roseboro; seven grandchildren, Jacob Simmons, Cody Simmons, Kaylee Simmons, Taytin Simmons, Saydee Simmons, Logan Wright (Harrison) and Channing Smith; his sister, Jewel Mathias of Roseboro; his special aunt, Janice Nettles of Salemburg; several aunts, uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to give a special thank you to their hospice nurse, Amanda Wright for her dedication and love during this time.
