Mrs. Ola C. Royal, 97

STEDMAN Mrs. Ola Carter Royal, 97 of Stedman died Thursday, August 16, 2007 in Bethesda Nursing Home. She was born August 5, 1910 in Macedonia Church Community to George Franklin and Pearl Carter. In 1929 she married Elliott Homer Royal who preceded her in death. Mrs. Royal attended Sunnyside and Stedman schools. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Royal is survived by sons, Mack C. Royal and wife, Mary Emily of Godwin, Thomas Hardy Royal and wife, Nellie of Greenwood, Arkansas, Lester Jennings Royal and wife, Carola of Aurora, Colorado, James Wyman Royal and wife Diane of Eastover, Hardy Tew and wife, Jane of Fayetteville, one daughter, Mary Jewel Bryant and husband Don of Gastonia. One sister, Juanita C. Cain of Eastover. She was predeceased by one daughter, Esther, a twin of Lester, two sons, Franklin Maxton "Pete" Royal and John Olive Royal, three brothers and one sister. 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren also survive. Services will be conducted on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 3 P.M. in Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
