ROSEBORO Rev. Norman Edward Day, Jr., 68 of 13611 Hwy. 210 S., Roseboro, died on Monday, January 30, 2012 at The Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Rev. Tim Gore and Rev. Ken Byrd officiating. Burial will be private. Rev. Day was born on May 1, 1943 in Lowell, Massachusetts, to the late Norman E. and Pearl Smith Day, Sr. He was a Minister at the Autryville Church of God for 10 years. He is survived by: his wife, Margery Perry Day of the home; five children, Norman E. Day, III and wife, Yuka of New York, Debra Pearl Runo and husband, Henry of New Jersey, Joseph William Carioti, III and wife, Lisa of New Jersey, Karri Marie Carioti of New Jersey and Donna Lynn Carioti of Stedman; an adopted son, Eric Morgan of Vander; two sisters, Vivian Addison of Maine and Melanie Michaud and husband, Russell of New Hampshire; one brother, Billy Day and wife, Joyce of Oregon; a half-brother, Joseph Day and wife, Rebecca of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren, Tim Runo, Melissa Runo, Lindsay Day, Mackenzie Day, Cassandra Peterson, Angelina O'Connor, Nicole Muccio and Michael Muccio. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:45 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family at 13611 Hwy. 210 S., Roseboro, NC 28382.
