Mrs. Norma Perry Wood, 92

BURLINGTON

Mrs. Norma Lee Perry Wood, 92 of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center in Clinton.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church in Graham with Rev. Tom Miller and Rev. Fred Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wood was a native of Alamance County, the daughter of the late Richard Leroy and Suda Andrews Perry. She was the wife of the late Ralph Wood. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bernard Perry, Dwight Perry, Hilton Perry and Hubert Perry; and two sisters, Ophelia Teague and Erma Paschal.

She was a member of Mount Hermon United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir for many years. She was also a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was a retired employee of the Smith Draperies.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph Edward "Eddie" Wood and wife Kay of Snow Camp and Rev. Andrew B. "Andy" Wood and wife Sheila of Autryville; one sister, Dura Dark of Burlington; four grandsons, Craig Wood and wife Christy, Michael Wood and wife Kristi, Brandon Wood and Jonathan Wood; and three great grandchildren, Zach, Zoe and Haley Wood.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and from 1:30 to 2:45 P.M. Wednesday afternoon at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church in Graham.
