Mrs. Norma Grant Jackson, 89

ROSEBORO Mrs. Norma Grant Jackson, 89 of 780 Williams Lake Road, Roseboro, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Edna Barefoot. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Moore and Rev. Bryan Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery in Roseboro. Mrs. Jackson was born on December 8, 1922 in Kent County, Maryland, to the late Christopher and Margaret Creighton Grant, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon B. Jackson, Sr.; and a granddaughter, Angela Dawn Maijala. She retired as a Registered Nurse with Sampson Memorial Hospital. She is survived by: five daughters, Christy and husband Mark Joiner of Kingston, TN, Edna and husband Junius Barefoot of Godwin, Karen and husband Craig Maijala of Middleburg, FL, Katrinia and husband Raymond Tyndall of Clinton and Babette Jackson of Knoxville, TN; four sons, Eldon B. Jr. and wife Theresa Jackson of Raleigh, Terry Jackson of Gainesville, FL, Thomas B. Sr. and wife Ann Jackson of Roseboro and Colby Jackson of Wallace; one sister, Lois Crouch of Rock Hall, MD; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home of her son, Thomas B.
