Ms. Neveah Lynn Bass, 15 passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Chris Butler.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Neveah was a freshman at Cape Fear High School.  She loved the beach, fishing with her father, and spending time with family and friends.

Neveah was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruth; and her great grandfather, Ed Saltzgiver.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Heather and Brandon Cortez; siblings, Alexis, Branson, Brantley, Alyssa and Braylon Cortez; grandparents, Sharon and Harry Hazlett, Brenda Parrish and Tim Cortez; great grandmother, Betty Saltzgiver; uncles, Michael Bass, Steven Hazlett, Christopher Hazlett; and aunt, Samantha Edwards.
