Mrs. Nellie S. Bryant, 79

STEDMAN Mrs. Nellie Sybil Nunnery Bryant, 79 of 3108 Stedman-Cedar Creek Road, died on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Highland House in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Baldwin, Rev. Frank Davis and Rev. Charles Rambo officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bryant was born on September 30, 1930 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Pauline Cooper Nunnery. She is preceded in death by: her husband, William McKenley Bryant; one daughter, Barbara Ann Bryant; three brothers, Charlie Nunnery, Jr., William "Pee Wee" Nunnery and Nathan Nunnery; and three sisters, Ethelene "Cooter" Cashwell, Alene Hall and Annie Ruth N. Sessoms. She was a homemaker and loved her gardening, flowers, fishing and church trips from the beach to the Amish Country. Her times with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were always treasured by her. Mrs. Bryant is survived by: two daughters, Sybil Jean Bryant Nunnery of Stedman and Joyce Ann Bryant Dunton of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Alice Spell and husband, Nixon of Autryville, and Cleta Mae Tyner and husband, Jimmie of Stedman; two brothers, Alfred "Duke" Nunnery and wife, Jane, and A.B. Nunnery both of Autryville; five grandchildren, Tabatha Nunnery and husband, Steven Nemeth of Laurinburg, Amanda Royal and husband, Tim, and Jasper Nunnery both of Fayetteville, Candice Dunton of New London and Heather Dunton of Albemarle; and three great grandchildren, Cody Royal, Chloe Royal and Andrew Nemeth. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at home.
