Mr. Neill Alexander Monroe, Jr., 65 of 2705 Compton Place, Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 2 at Cross Creek Cemetery, Fayetteville, with Masonic Rites.

He was born on September 5, 1950 in Cumberland County and was the son of the late Neill Alexander Monroe, Sr. and Molly Marie Phillips Monroe. He was a Veteran of the National Guard for six years and was a member of the Clifford-Duell Masonic Lodge # 756 A.F. & A.M. of Fayetteville. He worked as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Cumberland County Sherriff's Office.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Grant Monroe of Fayetteville; daughter, Sandie Monroe of Salemburg; granddaughter, Samantha Monroe of Salemburg; nephew, Harley Cannon of Fayetteville; and niece, Kristy Cannon of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of his nephew, 2008 Kingsland Drive, Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
