Mr. Nathan Chester "N.C." Adams, 68 of 661 Mill Creek Church Road, died on Friday, October 24, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Roger White and Rev. Sam Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born in 1940 in Sampson County to the late Chester and Myrtie Jackson Adams. He is preceded in death by: his first wife, Patricia Greene Adams; two sisters, Alice Faye and Betty Jean; and two brothers, Kirtz and Henry Ashley. He was a retired Farmer.
Mr. Adams is survived by: his wife, Hazelene L. Adams of the home; four children, Tony Ray Adams of Clinton, Belinda Cheryl Faulkner of Erwin, Rosie Adams of Roseboro, and Natha M. Shipshock of Columbia, S.C.; four step-children; three sisters, Patsy Bolt, Flora Bass, and Mable Tadlock; one brother, Joe Adams; ten grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, one great grandson, and seven step-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, in Roseboro, and other times at the home.
