AUTRYVILLE
Mrs. Naomi Wise "Priss" Kessner, 64, of 1373 Yellowskin Road, passed away Monday at her home. She was born in Autryville, NC on Dec. 11, 1942.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2007 at 11 AM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Bishop Warren Barfield and Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kessner was preceded in death by her parents, Mary A. Finley and Alex Williams, her granddaughter, Noel Alexis Young, her brothers, Oliver "Ham" Williams, Alex "Dunk" Williams and a sister, Daisy Hall. Mrs. Kessner was well known for her nurturing ways. Naomi was a very strong lady who will be greatly missed. She was the proud first president of the Sampson County Shrinettes.
Mrs. Kessner is survived by her husband Ted Kessner, of the home; son, Franklin Sessoms and wife Robin, of Danbury, NC; two daughters, Micheala "Sissy" Wydra, of Midland, GA and Natalie Young and husband Jay of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Savannah, Alexis, John Grant, Leann and Little Franklin. She is also survived by her brothers and her sisters, Dorothy Strickland and husband Steve, Linda Finley and Lottie Horne; Delbert Williams and wife Jean and William Carl "June Bug" Finley, Jr. and wife Joyce and sister-in-law, Polly Williams.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 till 9 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
