Mrs. Nancy (Williams) Barefoot died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 17, 2022 surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Shawn Berryhill officiating. The burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the church prior to the service.

She ran her own beauty shop at her home for 58 years prior to her health declining. She was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church with a perfect attendance record of 45 years. She served many positions during her lifetime and sang in the choir for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Stella Hairr Williams; brothers, Richard and Jack Williams; sister-in-law, Faye Williams; and niece, Kathy Boone.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donnie Barefoot; son, Torrey Barefoot (Julie) of Raleigh; two grandsons, Corbin and Vince Barefoot of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Eva Barefoot of Roseboro; niece, Beverly Tysinger (Kenny) of Clinton; nephew, Steve Williams (Jean) of Raleigh; special friends, Catherine Gilmore, June Beal and Judy Honeycutt all of Salemburg.

The family would like to thank all the staff of 3HC hospice for their care over the past year. Special thanks to Christy Jackson, Gwen Pope and Yvette Williams for their loving and devoted care. She felt like they were part of the family.
