Mrs. Myrtle B. Autry, 84

WILMINGTON Mrs. Myrtle B. Autry, 84 of Wilmington, formerly of Stedman , died Saturday, September 4, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Myrtle was born in Cumberland County, the daughter of the late, Ernest A. Bunce, Sr. and Mary Jones Bunce. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Layton Bunce and two sisters, Alreta Culbreth and Douglas Bunce. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Stedman. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Stedman with Rev. Jason Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Autry is survived by her husband of 64 years, Warren H. Autry of Wilmington, her daughter, Joyce Jordan (husband Ron) of Wilmington; sons, Wayne Autry (wife Kay) of Fayetteville, Don Autry of Stedman and Royce Autry of Wilmington; sisters, Cornelia Stewart of Hope Mills, Maxine Carpenter of Chesterfield, VA and Mattie Clayton of Murphy, TX; brother, Ernest "Toby" Bunce, Jr. of Stedman; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 3 PM, Tuesday, September 7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Magnolia Baptist Church, 1021 Magnolia Church Rd., Stedman, NC 28391 or to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 1406 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
