Muriel Lois (Wrench) Johnson, 95 went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at Concord Baptist Church in Autryville, officiating will be Rev. Walter Creech.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the funeral home.

Muriel was the oldest of 12 children born to, Murphy Wrench and Vena Wrench, who preceded her in death.  She is also preceded in death by Her husband, Robert Johnson, Sr.; brothers, Charles, Jackie & Steve Wrench; sisters, Von Ruth Autry, Janet Burg, Linda Bayer and Hilda Lambert.

She worked for Thomason Industries in Vander for 32 years before retiring.  She was also a member of Concord Baptist Church for 67 years where she served her Lord, and her church as Assembly leader, Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and many other responsibilities.

Muriel was loved by everyone she ever met and was devoted to her Lord, her church, her family, and her friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Robert “Bobby” Johnson, Jr. & wife, Diane of Stedman, Tim “Timmy” Johnson & wife, Tracie of Raleigh and Dwight Johnson & wife, Susan of Stedman; brothers, Donald Wrench & wife, Carolyn of Clinton; Peyton Wrench & wife, Faye of Fayetteville, and Gary Wrench & wife, Hope of Dallas, TX; sister,  Cathy Cashwell & husband, Harvey of Oak Island; 9 grandchildren, April McHaney (Mike), Jennifer Anderson, Jenny Wicker (Travis), Carie Elmore (Eric), Rudy Mills (Cheryl), Leigh Hayden (Joel), Kelli Davis (Eddie), Kristen O’Connell (Eric) and Garrett Faircloth; and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cape Fear Valley Hospice, 2301 Robeson Street, Suite 202, Fayetteville NC  28305.
