ROSEBORO
Mr. Mossette Nelson McLamb, 85 of 958 Reeda Branch Road, Roseboro, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Magnolia Assisted Living in Clinton.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hollands Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Billy Hall, Rev. Bryan Strickland and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Mr. McLamb was born on October 17, 1928 in Sampson County to the late Orson Ottis and Lillian Lockerman McLamb. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Nelson McLamb; three sisters and four brothers. He retired as a Supervisor from Burlington Industries in Erwin after 45 years of service and was a Farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma McLamb of the home; daughter, Diane Davis and husband Donnie of Roseboro; daughter-in-law, Sherry McLamb of Roseboro; three sisters, Willette Naylor of Clinton, Annette Davidson of Roseboro and Phyllis Herring of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Amy Cain and husband Mike, Catina Iverson and husband Reggie, Kevin Cannady and wife Candace and Mary McLamb and husband John all of Roseboro; step-grandson, Doug Davis and wife Donna of Roseboro; eight great grandchildren, Tyler, Lilly, Dylan, Kaylyn, Kenley, John Nelson, Sheriana and Corbyn; and three step-great grandchildren, Cecilya, Ashley and Tyler.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
