FAYETTEVILLE Miss Doris Lagray Carter, 84, of 4490 Starview Lane, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Miss Carter was born on October 2, 1928 in Cumberland County to the late Benjamin and Joanna Francis Carter. She was a Division Manager for Roses Department Store for 37 years and a faithful member of Stedman Church of God of Prophecy for 67 years, where she was youth director and Sunday School teacher. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
