Miss Thersia Jane "Cassie" Barefoot, 74 of 206 Sumner Avenue, Roseboro, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Mingo Baptist Church Cemetery, Dunn.
Miss Barefoot was born on November 10, 1940 in Sampson County to the late Delbert Ernest and Neva Godwin Barefoot. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Flora B. Autry; brother, Noah B. Barefoot; nephew, Noah B. Barefoot, Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Seymore Autry and Hubert Autry. She was as a caregiver.
She is survived by her sister, Mary B. Autry of Stedman; brother, D.E. Barefoot and wife Janice of Salemburg; sister-in-law, Westa H. Barefoot of Roseboro; nieces and nephews, Bonita B. Spain, Angie A. Francis, Tracey B. Jackson, Dawn Barefoot, Michael Autry and Jason Barefoot; and several special great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
