Miss Shirley Hales

AUTRYVILLE Miss Shirley Hales, of 4590 Minnie-Hall Road, Autryville, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 25 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Rev. Christi Christianson and Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Halls United Methodist Church Cemetery in Autryville. Miss Hales was a native of Sampson County and retired from East Coast Federal Savings & Loan Bank as a Branch Manager. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raeford and Charlotte Sessoms Hales; and brother, Ray Hales. She is survived by one niece, Brenda H. Horne of Autryville; one nephew, Ronnie Hales of Clinton; her sister-in-law, Annette Hales of Autryville; two great nieces, Heather Horne and Brittney Horne both of Autryville; one great nephew, Randy Hales of Autryville; and one great-great nephew, Cade Floyd of Autryville. The family will receive friends 1:00 to 1:45 pm Friday afternoon at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at 1933 Leroy Autry Road, Autryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Halls United Methodist Church, 4621 Minnie Hall Road, Autryville, NC 28318; or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3739 National Drive, suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612.
