Mrs. Miriam Johnson Mcgraw, 86

WHITEVILLE, NC Mrs. Miriam Corrine Johnson McGraw, 86 of 608 N. Franklin Street, died on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, with Rev. Ivan Byrd officiating. Mrs. McGraw was born on February 14, 1925 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to the late Haven and Grace Goodwin Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Dare McGraw; and two children, Jackie Beinert and David Garner-McGraw. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: six children, John Peters and wife, Diane of Denver, CO, Dennis McGraw and wife, Glenna of Chapel Hill, Darren McGraw of Whiteville, Darryl McGraw and wife, Roxanna of Raleigh, Daniel McGraw and wife, Liz of Hickory, and Toni Coats and husband, Ronny of Salemburg; one sister, Barbara Wojaiak of Orlando, FL; one brother, Alden Johnson of Laurinburg; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
