ROSEBORO
Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Barefoot Raynor, 88 of 105 E. North Street, died on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Roseboro First Baptist Church with Rev. Hampton Faircloth, Rev. Ronnie Conner, Mr. Chris Canuel and Rev. Joey Cannady. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
Mrs. Raynor was born on June 26, 1922 in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Noah B. and Myrtle Page Barefoot. She was a member of the Roseboro Women's Club, Roseboro First Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star Roseboro Chapter. She worked as a Cafeteria Worker with the Public School System.
Mrs. Raynor is survived by: two daughters, Sarah R. Lewis and husband, Ronald B. of Carolina Beach, and Lisa Hudson of Roseboro; one son, George B. Raynor, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Clinton; three sisters, Dorothy Denning and Matilda Autry both of Fayetteville, and Marilyn O'Neill of New York; five grandchildren, Chris Raynor and wife, Leslie of Shallotte, Chad Raynor and wife, Meagan of Wilmington, Meredith Canuel and husband, Chris of Hampstead, Justin Hudson of Roseboro, and Brooke Raynor of Clinton; and five great grandchildren, Jason Canuel, Noah Canuel, Caleb Canuel, Leah Raynor, and Amelia Canuel.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
