Mrs. Mildred Hales Owens, 88 of 966 Frank Welsh Road, died on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Bethesda Nursing Facility in Eastover.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Pastor Donald Baldwin and Rev. Stan Carter officiating.
Mrs. Owens was born on September 23, 1922 in Cumberland County to the late Henry and Annie Mae Gainey Hales. She was a retired textile employee with Burlington Industries in St. Pauls, NC.
She is survived by: two daughters, Patricia Williamson and husband, Jimmy and Deborah Kelly and husband, Jimmy, all of Fayetteville; four sons, Steve Brisson of Fayetteville, Roger Brisson and wife, Elizabeth of Hope Mills, James Cecil Brisson and Homer Lynn Davis both of Fayetteville; three brothers, Robert Brisson of Stedman, Preston Brisson and wife, Phyllis of TN and Marvin Brisson of Kernersville; two step-brothers, Vester Riley and wife, Charlene of MS and Chester Riley of Dunn; two sisters, Lola Taylor and husband Granville of VA and Esther Marie Lewis of Wilmington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
