BLADENBORO Mrs. Mildred Smith Nance Allen, 83 of 1112 Marsh Road and formerly of Salemburg, died on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Barker and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg. Mrs. Allen was born on October 14, 1927 in Bladen County to the late Gaston Lucas and Lonie Mae Holland Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Woodrow Nance; son-in-law, Jim Copeland; one sister, Berline Monroe; one brother, J.W. Smith; and a step-daughter, Peggy Allen McCormick. She lived in Salemburg most of her adult life until 18 years ago when she moved to Bladen County. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: her husband, Frank Allen of the home; one daughter, Margaret Colbert and husband Dennis of New Bern; one step-daughter, Vickie Allen of Bladenboro; one step-son, Frankie Neal Allen and wife Wendy of Portsmouth, VA; two brothers, Woodrow Smith and wife Joyce of Salemburg and Donnie Smith and wife Jean of Tar Heel; one sister, Lib Graff of N. Fort Myers, FL; six grandchildren, Stacie Mason and husband Lance of Liberty, SC, Sherri Copeland and fiancé T.J. Jones of New Bern, Mack McRoberts of Bladenboro, Nikki McRoberts of Bladenboro, Ashton Allen of Portsmouth, VA, and Tray McCormick of Newport News, VA; and four great grandchildren, Holly Mason, Nicholas Mason, Jacob Lopez and Isaac Munoz. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev.
